- 1 medium sized bunch of green kale
- 1 or 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of tamari
- 1 teaspoon of nutritional yeast
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
:Heat oven to 300 degrees. De-stem and wash kale. Rip kale into pieces the size of 1/2 a dollar bill. Place kale into a large mixing bowl. Mix the oil, vinegar and tamari together in a small bowl. Drizzle that mixture over the kale and toss together ensuring all pieces are covered. Spread kale pieces onto 2 cookie sheets making sure that they aren't too crowded. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of nutritional yeast over each cookie sheet of kale. Salt and pepper to taste. Bake for 10-20 minutes until all the pieces are dry to the touch. The time varies due to variations in the moisture level of the kale. Check kale frequently to avoid any burnt pieces. SUGGESTIONS:
These can be made raw also. Just dehydrate instead of baking in the oven.
You can also make them spicy by adding in chili powder and some cayenne or red pepper flakes.
