- Create and update signs as requested by other working groups (marketing, admin)
-
Software knowledge requirements:
- Word processing
- Use of our current wiki
- Illustrator/Quark/InDesign/Gimp/Photoshop etc.
-
Other useful skills & knowledge:
- Familiarity with FTP
- Experience maintaining specific workflow, so that existing materials are organized and useful to other members
-
Other notes:
- Graphics may be split between organizational type stuff (forms), product related stuff (bin signs), and marketing material.
- Not yet determined how to maintain archive (Wiki/portableHD/FTP site/drupal thingy)
Some of these signs require research, some are finnicky copy that you may ask for general input on, or even set up a collaborative editing session.
I wrote laminated next to some, but really almost every sign put up should be laminated, or it just gets nasty and falls apart. We have a laminator, lightweight 8.5x11 laminating sheets (we should get a 100 pack of heavyweight ones from across the street), box cutter, etc..
- Update sign listing freezer contents
- Overstock section signs
- Bin templates
- Laminated store hours sign - ANYTHING, current one is ugly and icky
- Local farm/supplier template - ~4" wide template for bins and other locations, other template for produce frig
- Table banner for street fairs, etc. - I'm thinking basic. Print out text, transfer to canvas, handpaint?
- "Everything is organic, except..."
- 100% organic produce
- All bulk, except those marked non-organic
- "Please be careful to take just as much as you want, we are not permitted by law to pour dispensed food back into bins."
- more casual? Would you buy stuff you found sitting around in a bag?
- New top for shopping cart holder thingy?
- Explanation of organic laws - needs input from research
- How to tie up cardboard boxes - thinking photos + captions, made into file for viewing on wiki, or print version.
- Laminated fill line tags "Fill bin only to this label, etc.."
- Laminated "Produce tags" sign on the little rack that holds the produce tags
- Print quality logos for:
- Fair trade (Done-Lippe)
- Kosher
- etc..
- Much bigger version of basement hatch sign
- New laminated clerk sign.
