Compost Runner *FILLED*

• Tasks:

• Delivering compost on Sunday afternoons to community garden on 7th between Ave. B & C (possibly open mornings too)
• Delivering compost to Union Square farmers market before 3pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday.

• Time requirements:

• 1-2 times weekly, 1-2 runs per day.

• Bike to transport compost

• Current (1.22.09) deliveries are done on Sunday.

Consumables stocker and orderer *FILLED*

• Tasks:

• Monitor store usage of all consumable items, restock and reorder as necessary.

• Research background for various proposals (Phone rates and plans, city guidelines and requirements, on-line payment providers, etc.)
• Research various topics that are raised all over the place, but that nobody really has time to truly follow through on.

• Solid organization skills, including tracking & archiving emails.

Pricing (Tentative position, needs discussion, tasks may be split up)

• Tasks:

• Make adjustments to product prices for several reasons:
• Adjust markups on various products to eliminate underpriced (vs. market) products, and to distribute the benefits across multiple products.
• Reduce markups and track sales to identify improved price-points.
• Adjust markups on various products to ensure that staple products are well priced.
• Adjust and float to compete with other stores.
• Keep track of sales/specials from suppliers. Connect with ordering staff to take advantage of opportunities for savings.

• Time requirements:

• 2.25 hours/week
