How to replace the printer ribbon on register

Remove plastic cover from receipt area.

Grasp the black plastic ribbon cartridge on both sides and pull straight towards you. You may need to give it a good yank.

Get a new ribbon from the basement. They are kept with store supplies, near the pens.

Make sure the ribbon is taught, with no sagging (turn the little knob to tighten).

Place it below the receipt rolls, right where the old one was.

Slide it in knob side up, ribbon side first, and push with your thumbs til you feel it click into place.

If you use the last ribbon, please take the old one as a sample and go get more:
