SPLIT PAYMENTS

A transaction can be "split" between cash and a card, in these two circumstances only:

1. When the balance left on an EBT card is less than the sale total

2. When ringing at least $10 in debit/credit, and the balance in cash.

• Ring items & discount> subtotal
• enter cash amount > cash > the balance due will be displayed.
  
• Process balance (must be at least $10) on the card terminal
• enter balance amount paid> Debit/Credit or EBT

Ex: sales total is 45.00 and you want to split it, $25/$20, between cash and a card:

process $20 on card using terminal at register, enter 2000 CASH 2500 CREDIT/DEBIT or EBT

This may also work with two different credit cards, or EBT & Credit/Debit

If this seems too complicated, you don't have to do it! Items can always be put back if the shopper doesn't have enough money (use RETURN or press CANCEL & start over).
