"PP Error"
"PP Error" means one of two things:
The ribbon needs to be changed,
or
There's a paper jam somewhere in the receipt-feeding mechanism
Option 1- the ribbon:
if print is very faint or register stops printing, replace it. See
Replace register ribbon
If you still see the "PP Error" message:
- Unplug the register (tan plug on power strip on the side of the register cabinet, not the one on the floor)
- Wait a full minute
- Plug back in
Option 2- paper jam:
- Remove & replace the receipt paper rolls (check for anything that might be caught in there)
- Unplug as above, if needed.
